Christians: How do you deal with the death of a loved one?

I always tell myself that God decided his or her time on Earth with us was finished and now it's God's turn to spend time with that person in Heaven. In that way, you can't argue with it. If God created us than it's his right to say when it's time to be with him. I see not as a punishment for us but as a reward for the deceased. I also feel that the deceased can see us and share in our happy moments from Heaven. So when my daughters were born for instance their late grandfather (my FIL) can still see that he has beautiful grandaughters that know who their grandfather was through our photos and stories.
