SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME!!! "The Size Of Spokane" by Heather McHugh?

The author is riding in an airplane being annoyed by a toddler zooming up and down her aisle. She realizes that the little terror is enthralled by a beam of light coming through the window/porthole of the plane. The toddler is totally enthralled and notices nothing until he finally notices her watching him. He stops then and scrutinizes her as if she is just as fascinating as the patch of light. She is struck then by how all of us at some point were sunstruck, just like the toddler and life was full of fascinating things instead of dull and mundane like plane flights. The author then realizes that our eyes are just like plane windows, a small aperture letting in light that shows us everything we will ever see and reflects on how jaded we have become. Hence the "plain radiance of vehicle" because really, how amazing is it that we can fling ourselves through the air in big aluminum cans? The things which cannot stay small forever is a comment on how anything can become mundane and thus the small things, the amazing things, can't stay small or amazing. Hope this helps, good luck!
